Crispy Roasted Okra with Bacon

This recipe combines the delicious flavor of crispy bacon with the delightful crunch of roasted okra, making it low-carb and THM-S compliant. Its the ideal healthy and tasty treat to have as a side dish or snack.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound fresh okra pods, trimmed and cut into halves
  • 4 slices of bacon, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika

Instructions:

Set the oven temperature to 425F 220C

The okra should be well coated after being tossed in a big bowl of olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika

Arrange the okra that has been seasoned in a single layer on a baking sheet

Divide the sliced bacon among the okra

Roast, stirring once halfway through cooking, in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the okra is tender

Before serving, take it out of the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes
